Who we are
calcestimator.com is operated by a small independent team that builds browser-based planning tools. We do not employ physicians, dentists, accountants, or licensed financial advisors to write site content under their professional credentials.
What we do provide are structured calculators that turn your inputs — location, coverage, dosage, income, project scope — into personalized estimates instead of generic national averages.
What we build
Every major life decision gets answered online with a broad range: "Dental implants cost $3,000–$8,000." "Adults need 600–800 IU of vitamin D per day." Those ranges can be technically true for someone while being misleading for you.
Our calculators collect the specifics that static articles skip — insurance type, months since last visit, body weight, regional cost tier — and run planning formulas in your browser. The output is an estimate for your scenario, not a lookup against a single median value.
How we build calculators
Each tool follows the same editorial pipeline:
1. Benchmark research — We start from publicly available guidelines, fee surveys, and consumer reference ranges (see sources below).
2. Formula design — Inputs are mapped to transparent planning logic documented on each page in the Sources & methodology section.
3. AI-assisted drafting — Explanatory copy and personalized insight text may be drafted with AI assistance, then checked for consistency with the calculator logic.
4. Editorial review — We spot-check formulas, default outputs, and disclaimers. This is not the same as a named clinician or CPA certifying every page.
5. Updates — Pages show a last-updated date where methodology changes. Found an error? Email us — corrections are part of how we maintain trust.
Our principles
Data sources & methodology
Individual calculators cite page-specific sources in their Sources & methodology block. Across the site we commonly reference public benchmarks such as:
When published literature gives a range rather than one number, our tools apply multipliers for your inputs instead of silently defaulting to a midpoint — and we document that logic on the page.
Important limitations
Our calculators produce planning estimates only. They do not provide medical care, dental treatment plans, insurance determinations, tax advice, or legal advice. Always confirm figures with a licensed professional before making health, financial, or construction decisions. See our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
We may display third-party advertising (such as Google AdSense). Ads do not change calculator formulas; editorial and monetization are separated by policy.
